VN Veterinary Nurse – Milnathort

For Lynn, animals played a big part in her childhood, and she had lots of them; dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, ponies, sheep, ducks, and a hen! With all these creatures from the animal world around her, she decided that working with animals would be the career for her.

In 1986, Lynn began at a practice in Kinross as the start pointing in vet nursing. After studies and training, she qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in January 1993, joining Cameron and Greig in 2003. She likes all aspects of her job and hopes to continue enjoying the variety in animal care that each day brings.

Outside of her career, animals still play an important role in her life, as during the months of September until January, she spends two or three days a week ‘picking up’ on shoots with her gundogs.

Other months of the year are filled, as from February to August, Lynn is a coach and lunger for Kinross Vaulting Group (gymnastics on horseback), and so spends many hours a week lunging horses.
